Biography

Cole earned his Psychology B.A. in 2021 and Clinical Psychology M.S. in 2025, after beginning a career in research in 2021. He has served as a Clinical Research Associate on many studies with several institutions, including longitudinal neuroimaging studies across a variety of patient populations, with advanced proficiency in clinical assessment, regulatory requirements, and project and data management. Most recently, Cole has served as the project lead for several pioneering cannabis neuroimaging projects investigating the effect of acute cannabis dosing on memory and reward learning with respect to an aging population, using tools such as functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and electroencephalography (EEG). Cole has also contributed to and co-authored publications for two independent research projects aiming to improve both diagnosis of cannabis use disorders (CUDs) as well as improving patient care for medical cannabis users.

At the Yale Stress Center, Cole is working on a study that looks at an investigational drug and Cannabis use/withdrawal. In the future, he hopes to continue working with an aging population, with a particular focus on identifying mechanisms of neurodegeneration to inform future modalities for prevention and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, reading and SCUBA diving.
