Biography

Chelesa Fearce graduated Phi Betta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude from Spelman College in 2017, where she majored in biochemistry and minored in philosophy. Upon graduating, she spent two years at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD, where she was in a molecular neuropharmacology lab studying dopamine receptor signaling. She is currently a student in the MD/PhD program and is interested in drug development for psychiatric disorders. Most notably, Chelesa has been featured on several new outlets, including The Atlanta Journal Constitution, BET, and The Huffington Post. Despite being homeless throughout her childhood, she graduated Valedictorian of her high school class and was awarded a full scholarship to college and subsequently, Yale School of Medicine.
