Carrie MacMillan

Carrie MacMillan joined the Office of Communications in 2016 as a writer for the Yale Medicine website. She writes feature and news stories for the patient-oriented site, covering all departments and spanning topics from patient stories to breaking medical news to health trends.

Prior to Yale, Carrie spent 11 years as a feature writer for a daily newspaper, focusing on health, general interest and news topics. She also wrote and edited for a variety of consumer and business magazines and websites. Carrie has amassed more than 18 awards from local and national news organizations for her writing.
