Brooks Rock

Brooks Rock, AGACNP-BC, is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner specializing in Orthopedics with Yale Medicine in Stamford, CT. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Midwestern State University in Texas and began his career at Yale New Haven Hospital on the surgical trauma step-down unit. He went on to spend six years as a travel nurse, providing care on medical and surgical floors across the country and supporting hospitals in need during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Brooks completed his Master of Science in Nursing at Western Connecticut State University in Danbury, CT, and achieved board certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. He has trained extensively alongside orthopedic surgeons and physician assistants, developing expertise in the management of complex musculoskeletal conditions and patient-centered orthopedic care.

Brooks is an Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner specializing in the diagnosis, management, and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions affecting the knee, hip, hand, wrist, and forearm. In the outpatient setting, he provides comprehensive care for patients with osteoarthritis, meniscal and ligament injuries, patellofemoral disorders, hip labral tears, and bursitis, as well as overuse syndromes including tendinitis and tendinosis. His clinical expertise also encompasses hand and upper extremity disorders such as carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, de Quervain’s tenosynovitis, trigger finger, basal thumb arthritis, ganglion cysts, and epicondylitis. In addition, Brooks manages nonoperative fracture care, postoperative follow-up, and provides image-guided corticosteroid injections to support patient function and recovery. Through a patient-centered approach, he emphasizes evidence-based interventions that restore mobility, alleviate pain, and improve quality of life.
