Biography
Trained as a scientist and engineer with deep hands-on expertise in materials characterization and micro/nanofabrication, Ben brings more than 20 years of experience in operation and oversight of research core facilities. After beginning his career in the semiconductor industry, Ben returned to academia to support research and teaching in an electron microscopy core at Northwestern University and went on to lead the Chicago-area node of the NSF-NNCI program. Ben joined Yale in 2019 and oversees cores on Science Hill and West Campus, supporting basic and applied research in the natural sciences and engineering.
