Biography

I am a clinical nephrologist with strong interest in intensive care nephrology including disorders of acid base and electrolytes. My other academic interest revolves around education and training of young physicians both in the US and abroad. I am the founding Director of Global Health Office and co-director of Yale-Stanford J&J Global Health Scholar Program where I have focused on development of bilateral relationship with institutions in resource-limited regions with the goal of improving human capacity in health care sector. I have served as the Co-Chair of the Education Committee of the International Society of Nephrology where I focused on the development of nephrology as a clinical specialty in resource-limited regions of the world. I retired from clinical activities as of July 1, 2020 but will continue with my teaching activities as well as oversee projects in Liberia.
