Biography

Alyssa Nielsen, MD is a psychiatry resident at Yale. She is currently a program-wide administrative chief resident and is completing the Yale Public Psychiatry Fellowship in her final year of residency training. Additionally, she previously served as co-president of the Psychiatry Residents' Association, a member of the Medical Student Education Committee, and co-leader of the Public Psychiatry Resident Interest Group. She is passionate about accessible mental health care, community-based care, medical education, and exploring patients' and caregivers' perspectives of mental health care.
