She is currently a member of the Coping and Regulation of Environmental Stress lab at Penn State (CaRES, https://careslab.la.psu.edu/). Her thesis focused on racial salience as a predictor of stress-adapted coping. She found that racial salience acted as a moderator for primary engagement coping and disengagement coping. Her dissertation examined profiles of success in college students, particularly focusing on first-generation college students, and concluded that belonging and feelings of match with ones academic institution are integral to psychosocial and academic success for students, especially first-generation college students. Adithi is passionate about working with children and families impacted by chronic and acute trauma, systems involvement, and intersectional identities. In her free time, she loves to run, bake, and hang out with her dog, Brady.
