After five years with Yale Surgery, Associate Communications Officer Stevi Kramer has accepted a new position with the Yale Peabody Museum's Student Programs Office, where she will begin on July 6. During her time with the department, Stevi contributed to hundreds of newsletters, event promotions, and photo sessions. Her passion for museum education and curatorial affairs has led her to this next chapter, and we wish her every success.
We are also pleased to welcome Larissa Breedlove, who joins Yale Surgery as Communications Officer on July 13. Larissa will help strengthen communications and engagement across the department, supporting strategic initiatives, faculty and departmental communications, and storytelling across our missions of patient care, research, and education.
Larissa joins us from Weill Cornell Medicine, where she led internal and external communications for the Weill Department of Medicine across 10+ clinical divisions. Previously, she served as Lead Communications Specialist at EmblemHealth, developing member communications across Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial health plans. She is passionate about translating complex topics into clear, engaging language and advancing health education through effective communications.
A Connecticut native, Larissa enjoys spending time with her husband and Winston, her still-rambunctious 12-year-old cat. She is also an avid birder and looks forward to exploring Connecticut's parks and natural spaces, when she returns to the state next month.
Please join us in thanking Stevi for her many contributions to Yale Surgery and in welcoming Larissa to the department.
