What is the work you are most excited about right now, and why does it matter to you?
“I am always excited about my work as a pediatric anesthesiologist. With that said, right now I am ecstatic about the additional role of serving as a new co-director of MORE. It matters to me because of the enormous opportunity to collaborate with multispecialty faculty.”
What is one lesson you wish you'd learned earlier in your career?
“One lesson I wish I had learned earlier in my career is the importance of self-care and protecting time for personal growth outside of the field of medicine.”
Who helped open a door for you, and how?
“Deborah Desir, MD, is an amazing and inspiring woman who helped open a door for me. This occurred through her sponsorship that provided an opportunity for me to pursue an area of interest that I was unsure of how best to navigate on my own.”
What is one thing you hope will be different for those who come after you?
“I hope that the women who come after me will experience even more opportunity for mentorship, sponsorship, and career growth into leadership roles.”
