YSM Residents led Women's Health Summer Pathways sessions

Several Yale obstetrics and gynecology residents and Vice Chair of Education, Trina Salva, MD, MSEd, recently introduced approximately 60 high school students to women's health topics and procedures, such as menstrual management, contraception, normal birth, and minimally invasive surgery.

Women's Health Summer Pathways

It was the second year in a row the department has participated in Yale's Pathways to Science Summer Scholars Program, teaching local students about simulation and innovation in the field.

The Pathways to Science program is a 2-week, on-campus STEM experience offered free of charge for students entering grades 10-12, from New Haven, West Haven, and Orange/Amity public schools.
