"Designing for Disagreement: AI Scaffolding for Perspective-Taking in Student Discussions"
In this presentation, Michael Strambler, PhD, will describe the early development and evaluation of Sway Classroom, a text-based platform designed to support constructive disagreement among middle and high school students. He will discuss the problem Sway Classroom aims to address, introduce the platform, and examine the conceptual and methodological challenges involved in validating an AI-generated measure.
