Keynote hosted by Yale Cardiovascular Medicine Grand Rounds

Speaker: Rachel Marcus, MD (NIH)

Dr. Rachel Marcus graduated from Stanford Medical School in 1994 and worked as an intern and resident at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston before returning to Stanford for a fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine. Because of her longstanding commitment to working with under served communities in the U.S. and abroad, Dr. Marcus left an office practice of cardiology to establish a non-profit organization, LASOCHA (Latin American Society of Chagas), in Washington D.C. where she currently serves as Medical Director. Dr. Marcus helps support research in Chagas disease in collaboration with Johns Hopkins University, in addition to working as a staff cardiologist at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
