Biography

Rohini Janivara is a postdoctoral researcher in the Aitken Lab at Yale. Her research focuses on the population genetics of cancer, spanning inherited risk, germline-somatic interactions, and the mutational and selective forces that shape tumor progression. She completed her doctoral training in Bioinformatics and Population Genetics at Georgia Institute of Technology with Dr. Joseph Lachance, where she studied the genetic architecture of prostate cancer in diverse populations, evolutionary drivers of complex trait variation in sub-Saharan Africa, and the ecology and evolution of tumor progression.
