Nirvani P. Brijmohan serves as the Administrative Manager for the Division of Surgical Oncology & Division of Thoracic Surgery at Yale School of Medicine, where she provides operational leadership across multiple surgical sections and supports faculty, clinical teams, and administrative staff in advancing patient care and academic excellence.
Ms. Brijmohan brings more than 20 years of healthcare administrative experience, having previously worked within leading healthcare systems including Northwell Health, Hospital for Special Surgery, and Hartford HealthCare. Throughout her career, she has developed extensive expertise in clinical operations, physician support, and healthcare administration within complex academic and hospital-based environments.
With a leadership philosophy rooted in collaboration, accountability, and empathy, Ms. Brijmohan believes in “walking a mile in everyone’s shoes.” She is known for building strong, cross-functional relationships and fostering an environment where faculty and staff feel supported, empowered, and aligned with the division’s mission. Her approach combines data-driven decision-making with a people-centered mindset, ensuring both operational efficiency and strong team engagement.
Ms. Brijmohan oversees clinical operations, faculty scheduling, template optimization, and workforce coordination across complex surgical programs including Hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) & Mixed Tumors, Endocrine, Breast & Thoracic Surgery. She collaborates closely with division leadership, faculty surgeons, hospital administration, Human Resources, finance, and union representatives to ensure efficient workflows, regulatory compliance, and alignment with institutional priorities.
Her expertise includes clinic template management (Epic/QGenda), faculty recruitment and onboarding, workforce planning, and performance metrics tracking. She is recognized for developing structured tools and dashboards that enhance transparency, streamline processes, and support informed decision-making within a high-volume academic surgical environment.
In 2025, Ms. Brijmohan was honored with the Yale School of Medicine “Helping Hand Award,” recognizing her commitment to supporting colleagues, fostering teamwork, and going above and beyond to assist others within the Yale community. This recognition reflects her dedication not only to operational excellence, but also to cultivating a culture of service, mentorship, and shared accountability.
