Biography

Matthew O'Rourke is Director of Digital Marketing for the Yale School of Medicine and its clinical practice, Yale Medicine. He recently completed the Executive MBA program at NYU Stern with dual concentrations in Marketing and Technology & Operations Management, where he focused on applying advanced analytics and operational frameworks to healthcare marketing challenges.

In his current role, O'Rourke leads data-driven marketing strategy and oversees the implementation of analytics platforms including Adobe Customer Journey Analytics. His work spans sentiment analysis of large-scale review datasets, technical SEO optimization for medical content, and developing analytics capabilities for marketing teams. Prior to his current position, he spent five and a half years at the Yale School of Management coordinating international communications across 30 schools in 25 countries through the Global Network for Advanced Management.

A journalist by training, O'Rourke began his career as a reporter at the Waterbury Republican-American, where he was part of a team that won the national Society of Professional Journalists Sunshine Award. His work has appeared in the Los Angeles Times and Boston Globe. He brings 19 years of experience spanning journalism, higher education, and healthcare marketing to his current focus on the intersection of marketing technology and analytics.
