Chief Medical Information Officer
Dr. Marc Bingham recently joined Yale Health as Chief Medical Information Officer, where he leads digital health strategy and clinical technology initiatives for the university's comprehensive health plan. In this role, he works closely with clinical and administrative teams to integrate innovative technology solutions that enhance patient care and operational efficiency. He also maintains a primary care practice at the Yale Health Department of Internal Medicine. Dr. Bingham brings over 20 years of healthcare leadership experience, most recently serving as Chief Clinical Informatics Officer at a rural South Carolina health system, where he successfully led Epic EHR implementation across six hospitals and 130+ practices. He is board-certified in both Family Medicine and Clinical Informatics, with extensive expertise in telehealth program development, population health analytics, and physician engagement strategies. Dr. Bingham holds an M.D. from Louisiana State University School of Medicine and a B.S.E. in Biomedical Engineering from Tulane University. His leadership has been recognized with awards including South Carolina Telehealth Innovator of the Year, and he maintains active involvement in medical education and community service.
