Biography
Dr. Saini holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from U of Delhi, India, where she identified a novel therapeutic target for rheumatoid arthritis and discovered inhibitors of dopamine β-hydroxylase as potential antihypertensives. She completed her first postdoctorate at Rutgers University, where she utilized crystallography-based fragment screening to uncover new druggable pockets and chemical matter targeting the Dengue virus RNA-dependent RNA polymerase.
Currently, as a postdoctoral associate in the Anderson Lab at Yale University, her research focuses on identifying novel inhibitors of HIV-1 reverse transcriptase and elucidating their binding mechanisms to guide the design of next-generation antivirals.
