Leanne McCloskey, MD, MPH, FACOG

Leanne McCloskey MD, MPH, FACOG, is a generalist in obstetrics and gynecology and specialist in complex family planning. She attended Georgetown University, School of Medicine before matriculating to the Northwestern University, OBGYN residency. After finishing her 4 years of residency, she remained at Northwestern University to complete a fellowship in Complex Family Planning, obtaining her Master's in Public Health concurrently. She joined the Generalist Academic Faculty Group at Northwestern University in 2015, and maintained a busy clinical comprehensive obstetrical and gynecologic practice while also taking time to perform clinical research resulting in numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals. During her time at Northwestern, she continued to dedicate her time to Complex Family Planning as a clinician, advocate, and educator, holding the title of Fellowship Direction for CFP for the final 2 years of her career in Chicago. She also dedicated a majority of her time to ensuring patients were well cared for in the confusing postpartum period as Medical Director of Postpartum at the Women’s Hospital. After leaving Northwestern in 2024, she was excited to join Sound Obstetrics and Gynecology and plans to continue to care for women's comprehensive obstetrical and gynecologic needs with dedication, academia, and compassion.
