About

Biography

I graduated from Rice University with a BS from the Biomedical Engineering Dept. I then continued my academic education at Yale as an MD/PhD graduate student. My research is in the bioinformatic discovery of riboswitches, biochemical and genetic characterization of riboswitches and the application of riboswitches for high-throughput small molecule screening for bacterial inhibitors. My future career goals are Emergency Medicine Residency and then become a practicing physician at an academic center where I can also start research in one of my many interests, such as infection/sepsis and toxicology/drug use.
