Alyssa Marie Pereira, MS

Alyssa Pereira, a Connecticut native, began her professional journey at Yale University in 2008. She has held several leadership positions at Yale in the areas of academic affairs, student affairs, career development, faculty and academic appointee affairs, Title IX, and human resources. In 2019, she co-founded SWAY (Student Wellness at Yale) in partnership with several constituents across the university to help foster student wellness programming and resources. She is the founder and past chair of Yale School of the Environment's (YSE) Title IX Working Group and Wellness Working Group. She has received several awards and accolades for her work in student services and community engagement, including YSE's Class of 2015 Stellar Student Services Award, and YSE's Class of 2017 Outstanding Services to YSE and the Community Award.

In her current role at Yale School of Medicine (YSM), Alyssa manages the Office of Faculty and Staff Affairs for the departments of urology and obstetrics, gynecology, & reproductive sciences. Alyssa collaborates closely with leadership and faculty to help advance department initiatives as well as streamline processes and improve policies, and works diligently to create reliable, trusting and rewarding partnerships with colleagues across the school and university. Her greatest attributes are the members of her team as nothing brings her greater joy than taking care of the people in her charge and watching them succeed in their roles.

Alyssa has a master's degree in College Student Personnel Services with a concentration in higher education administration from Arkansas State University and is currently seeking a doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from Saint Leo University, her father's alma mater.
