Biography

Alexandra Torres, BA, is a Postgraduate Research Associate in the Family Violence Research Program in the Sullivan Lab. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Stanford University. During her undergraduate studies, she conducted research on community responses to sexual violence among Latine populations, with a particular focus on how cultural values, intergenerational attitudes, and community dynamics shape survivors’ healing and access to support. Her research interests continue to center on culturally grounded approaches to addressing sexual and intimate partner violence, with an emphasis on Latine communities that remain underserved by traditional Western models of care.
