Educational Scholarship Grant Winners Announced

In April 2022, the Department of Internal Medicine announced a grant funding opportunity for educational scholarship conducted by faculty in the department. The purpose of these grants is to help encourage and support scholarship and innovation in medical education. The department is happy to announce the funding of four $5000 grants to the following clinician-educator faculty:

  • Shana Gleeson, MD, assistant professor (infectious diseases)
    • Project: Infectious Disease Diversity, Equity, and Antiracism (ID2EA): A Dedicated Curriculum for Infectious Disease Professionals
  • Shaili Gupta, MBBS, assistant professor (general internal medicine)
    • Project: Diverse Identities with Varied Experiences in Settings of healthcare Education (DIVERSE)
  • David Hur, MD, FACC, assistant professor (cardiovascular medicine)
    • Project: ImpLementing OnlinE Curriculum to Attain CoRe FoundatioNal Competencies Training in CARDIOvascular Computed Tomography
  • Edward Perry Jr. MD, assistant professor (medical oncology)
    • Project: Development and Implementation of a Novel Opioid Pain Management Curriculum for Oncology Fellows

The next call for grant proposals will be in April 2023.
