If your family has experienced a significant change in financial circumstances such as a job loss or a reduction in income, you may submit a Request for Review to request additional aid. Our form is available on our Forms and Resources page; please be sure to select the form for the appropriate academic year. Increased funding is determined on a case-by-case basis, and may be in the form of loan or scholarship.
Please note that we cannot revise financial aid based on your family's financial decisions, such as a parent choosing not to pay your educational costs. Any change to your financial aid offer must be based on a documented change in your family’s financial circumstances.
Additional Expenses

If you are a student who will be incurring new expenses that you did not report on your aid application, you may submit an itemization of your expenses along with documentation of the cost (receipts, invoices, etc). If these are allowable expenses, we may be able to adjust your student budget to offer additional loan to meet the cost. Limited scholarship may be available for certain medical expenses; this is subject to availability.
Budget adjustments must be directly related to your course of study or something that if not addressed would interfere with the pursuit of your degree.
Allowable expenses can include, but are not limited to:
- Ongoing necessary medical expenses (unreimbursed prescription costs, glasses/contacts, copays)
- The cost to purchase a computer and peripherals (keyboard, monitor, printer, mouse). You may request a computer adjustment ONCE during your program. Total cost cannot exceed $3,000.
- Childcare costs
- Legal expenses related to student or dependent visa and immigration
Expenses we cannot allow for include, but are not limited to:
- The cost to purchase or insure a vehicle
- Expenses for a spouse
- Test prep materials
- Certain elective medical expenses (fertility treatments, cosmetic procedures not deemed medically necessary)
- Criminal legal expenses
