Medical Student Council Perspectives on Medicine Series
Perspectives on Medicine brings a variety of speakers to the School of Medicine for talks on medical education, clinical medicine, public health, biomedical research and the state of the school. Past speakers have included former surgeon general Vivek Murthy, M.D., M.B.A., and medical school Dean Nancy J. Brown, M.D. Topics range from the impact of the 80-hour work week for residents to the status of women in medicine to race-based disparities in health care.
Meetings are open to the Yale and medical center community and are held from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.
