Postgraduate Associate
Shannon Zeilman is a Postgraduate Research Associate at the Yale Center for the Science of Cannabis and Cannabinoids. A native of Simsbury, Connecticut, she graduated from Dartmouth College in 2025 with an A.B. in Neuroscience and a minor in Hispanic Studies.
Her research interests focus on the intersection of substance use, addiction, and mental health, with a particular emphasis on understanding the neurobiological mechanisms underlying cannabis use and its clinical implications.
During her undergraduate years, Ms. Zeilman was actively engaged in both academic and community service roles. She served as a member of the Dartmouth Ski Patrol and worked as an Emergency Medical Technician with Upper Valley Ambulance. These experiences strengthened her commitment to patient care and fostered her long-term goal of pursuing a career in medicine.
Outside of her professional work, Ms. Zeilman enjoys running, skiing, hiking, and reading.
