The School of Medicine's Technology Team provides planning and initiatives for both the overall organization of the Yale School of Medicine (YSM) and the individual entities comprising it.

We address issues affecting the school and resolve them for the entire school by creating solutions and then allowing people to do the work for themselves. We are always here as a resource for any web initiatives or needs.

Web editors at the Yale School of Medicine can get support for maintaining and updating their websites through a variety of methods including training videos, step-by-step instructions, and over-the-phone or in-person guidance. All training materials have been developed in-house and specifically for YSM editors.

  • The Profile System was designed to collect, display, and utilize information about faculty, organizations, and news items.
  • The news system was created to allow organizations at YSM to more efficiently create and share news and to prevent redundancy of content and of effort.
  • The Office of Communications uses an enterprise system that runs through the News and People Profile system which is a robust tool integrated with news, profiles, and more. This opens up many possibilities and further flexibility for Yale School of Medicine’s users.
  • The school's Digital Signage is an interactive touch screen designed to provide up-to-date information through event listings, news, video, international activity, people search, weather, and the Yale Shuttle.
