MyYSM News Article & Digital Monitor Submissions

To share information on the MyYSM home page and/or request a post to the school-wide digital monitors, please refer to this criteria and complete the appropriate request forms.

Currently, submissions are limited to YSM departmental or central administrative unit (CAU) communications officers. If your department/CAU does not have a communications officer and you’d like to submit a request for a MyYSM news article or digital monitor sign, contact ysm.communications@yale.edu.

To be published on the MyYSM news carousel and/or the school-wide digital monitors, all content needs to align with one or more of the following criteria:

• Spotlights our faculty, staff, and students and their professional accomplishments
• Highlights ways YSM is advancing discovery and innovation and our commitment to improving the health of all people
• Informs and engages the YSM community in YSM’s mission
• Promotes events and resources that benefit the entire YSM community
• Highlights YSM community or individual awards, including YSM milestone anniversaries of 25 or more years of service
• Creates awareness about critical actions or requirements related to working at YSM

Announcements about personal events, milestones, and accomplishments, including (but not limited to) birthdays, births, marriages, marriage anniversaries, etc. will not be published on MyYSM.

Any events that are promoted on the digital monitors should appeal/apply to the broader YSM community (e.g., events with high-profile speakers, day-long symposiums, events that bridge multiple departments, etc.).

Articles supporting YSM’s mission and business priorities and critical, time-sensitive announcements will be prioritized during the editorial process.

Please note:

• The MyYSM site primarily targets faculty and staff.
• The weekly News & Recognition newsletter will automatically appear in the MyYSM carousel, so the articles included in the newsletter won’t appear as a standalone article in the news carousel.
• YSM events are featured at the bottom of the MyYSM home page.
