Accessibility at Yale
As part of Yale’s mission, Yale is committed to “the free exchange of ideas in an ethical, interdependent, and diverse community.” That diversity includes all people regardless of ability or disability.
Below are some guidelines for publishing on YSM websites. If you have a role publishing to a website that represents the Yale School of Medicine (YSM), we encourage you to read through these carefully. As with all guidelines, these do not cover the extent of every publishing possibility, and you should in all cases use common sense.
If you have any question or concern about publishing certain content, ask questions of your supervisor or the YSM web team before making the content live. You can direct specific questions for the Office of Communications to ysm.editor@yale.edu
As of March 21, 2023, the majority of all YSM and YM policies, procedures, and guidelines will be made available via a new document management system. Please contact Parami Hettiarachchi, Senior Policy Analyst, with questions. Get help with PolicyTech.

Creating a social media account that represents the work you do at Yale is akin to publishing a magazine article about your work, with regard to all Yale policies that apply. Yale cares about any publishing, print or online, that uses the name “Yale." Use your common sense, remember that you are publishing under the Yale name, and stay active on the account or delete it.
