August 2023

With the start of the 2023-2024 academic year, we wanted to remind you of important safety resources available to you as you explore all that the university and New Haven have to offer.

July 2023

Yale New Haven Hospital has installed the "See Something Say Something" phone line, which is available 24/7 and connects with Protective Services for an immediate response. It is anonymous and can be used for reporting any violence by calling 203-688-7777..

As part of our commitment to enhance transparency and communication regarding our safety and security efforts, we are writing as part of our first monthly YSM Safety and Security Update. In our recent conversations at the all-school town hall and in smaller gatherings, many of you have recognized that our efforts to improve safety and security must be ongoing and require a long-term approach. While a number of initiatives have been undertaken or are in development, we appreciate your patience and continued engagement with this sustained effort.
