Web & Communications Technology

The Office of Communications' Web & Communications Technology team works with you to determine your goals, audiences, and priorities. From there, we deliver dynamic, user-focused, and data-informed tools and websites that serve both the Yale School of Medicine, Yale School of Public Health, and Yale Medicine.

We are committed to solutions that allow YSM organizations and individuals to maintain ever-changing information such as calendars, news, and profiles (including publications and professional accolades) through an easy to use information hub in collaboration with our web production team. The web production team maintains and builds sites as needed to assure digital accessibility and optimal user experiences and advises on content relevance and presentation. Our technical experts administer and develop technological solutions for identifying, maintaining, and delivering content and data solutions to the YSM.

Support Services

YSM websites are the primary, public-facing websites for the school's research and education content. They are managed primarily in SDL Tridion but also heavily use an ever-growing suite of applications to managed by department designees to share news articles, calendar events, and profiles.

Our support team focusses on:
  1. Setting up and training for staff to manage news, profiles, events, and people listings
  2. Assuring web accessibility and best practices in page layout to better user experience and search engine optimization
  3. Creating strong user experiences through testing and data-informed decision making
