Current Research
The Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence research agenda covers three main areas:
- The basic science of emotions, emotional intelligence, and emotion skill development;
- Evaluations of social and emotional interventions, programming, and practices, including RULER; and
- Methodological advancements in the measurement of social emotional constructs including emotional intelligence skills, well-being, and school climate.
In service of our Center’s mission to create a healthier, more equitable, innovative, and compassionate society for now and future generations, our research yields scientific knowledge and actionable outcomes that benefit the children, educators, staff, and families whom we serve.
