Several faculty, staff, and trainees have joined the Yale Child Study Center community in the last few months, including those who joined from the former Haskins Laboratories.
Una Casey: Prior to joining the YCSC as senior administrative assistant in the chair’s office, Casey served in a faculty support role at the Yale School of Management. She grew up in New Haven and, prior to coming to Yale, spent ten years in the banking industry, mainly in New York City and Philadelphia. She is currently pursuing a degree in social work, aspiring to work with bereaved parents and young children. She discovered a passion for supporting bereaved families and in interest in infant mortality research following the loss of her infant son.
Julian Hinz: After earning a master’s degree in cognitive-affective neuroscience at University Dresden, Germany in 2022, Hinz began pursuing a PhD in autism research at Metropolitan University Oslo, Norway in collaboration with the Yale School of Medicine. He joined the YCSC as a postgraduate fellow in the Chawarska lab in January to work on a thesis on attentional biases in preschoolers with autism spectrum.
Welcome, everyone!
