Yale Pathology Annual CME Conference Featuring Gastrointestinal Pathology

Course Directors are Pei Hui, MD, PhD, and Xuchen Zhang, MD, PhD, Professors of Pathology

The Yale Gastrointestinal Pathology CME course, led by faculty from the Department of Pathology at Yale School of Medicine, offers a broad overview of many areas of gastrointestinal, pancreatic, and hepatobiliary pathology. Aimed at both academic and community practicing pathologists at all expertise levels, as well as in-training residents and fellows, the course provides updates on advances in gastrointestinal, pancreatic, and hepatobiliary pathology, including updates from the 5th edition of the WHO classification of digestive tumors, and aids in developing diagnostic strategies in recognizing diverse morphologic features. Additionally, the course addresses the prudent selection of appropriate ancillary immunohistochemical and molecular markers, along with rational panels for diagnosis. Interactive learning formats, including didactic lectures and whole slide digital imaging case discussions covering differential diagnosis, clinical implications and the appropriate utilization of ancillary tests will be integrated into the course.
