First Aid for Feelings: A Workbook to Help Kids Cope During the Coronavirus Pandemic
May 04, 2020As parents struggle to cope with the sudden changes and stresses brought about by COVID-19, it’s important to remember that children may also be experiencing stress and anxiety during this time, although they may express it in different ways than adults. The Yale Child Study Center and Scholastic teamed up to create a workbook to help children and parents express emotions in a healthy way. “Kids take their cues from adults,” says Leah Booth, MA, of the Child Study Center. “So if adults are able to model calm and resiliency, then that will be modeled by the child.”
