Yale Child Study Center Annual Associates Meeting

Showcasing the breadth and excellence of work in children's mental health, development, and wellbeing at Yale Child Study Center (YCSC), this annual meeting brings together YCSC associates to learn about cutting-edge research, clinical innovations, and educational initiatives that embody the center's mission to improve the lives of children and families.

This year's theme, "Fostering Growth and Healing in Children and Families," centered on resilience, overcoming barriers, and the innovative approaches the center brings to supporting children and families through challenges.

Held in-person at Yale's Wu Tsai Institute in New Haven with a recorded Zoom simulcast, the event featured three engaging panel presentations with 12 YCSC experts and a lively keynote address delivered by Lauren Tarshis, a Connecticut author and editor. YCSC Chair Linda Mayes, MD, opened the meeting and served as facilitator for the event, and a reception followed.

This annual meeting engages participants in presentations focused on the multi-faceted missions of Yale Child Study Center. These sessions, historically provided in-person, shifted to a virtual format in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, a virtual poster session, supplemental videos, and recordings of the live sessions have been made available on-line.

The 2024 meeting was the first held in-person since pre-pandemic, though a virtual component was also made available leading up to and following the event, including a variety of virtual posters, informational videos, and supplemental resources available on-line.
