Clinical Instructor of Social Work in Psychiatry
Britt Lewis is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, a “New Havener” born and raised, and is a bi-racial Black woman. She currently works for the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services as the Director of Care Management and Client Rights Officer at Connecticut Mental Health Center, has a Private Practice in downtown New Haven, and has a Yale University faculty appointment as a Clinical Instructor of Social Work in Psychiatry. Britt was a member of the Yale Anti-Racism Task Force-Community Team and is now serving as one of the Chairs for the Yale Anti-Racism Task Force-Professional Development Team. She received her Bachelor of Social Work from Southern Connecticut State University and her Master of Social Work from Fordham University. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Social Work from Southern Connecticut State University. Britt has focused her work primarily on combatting the symptoms of racial trauma and working towards racial equity.
