Michael Cappello, M.D.

Michael Cappello, M.D., assistant professor of pediatrics (infectious diseases), received the New Investigator Award in Molecular Parasitology from the Burroughs Wellcome Fund. The grant is a three-year award that is given annually to junior faculty working in molecular parasitology in U.S. or Canadian universities. He gave a presentation of his work at the November meeting of the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene in Washington, D.C.
