External Applicants

We welcome applications from enthusiastic applicants from outside of Yale. Applicants must secure a Yale primary mentor and proposed research project before applying and commit to on-campus coursework and research. The AHSR, CI, and CIDS tracks require 50% time during working hours for coursework and research and the Med-Ed track requires 35% time during working hours for coursework and research in addition to weekly evening class time.

In order to assist you in identifying the appropriate track and project that aligns with your professional goals, please reach out to mhs@yale.edu as early as possible in the application process. Please include the track(s) you are interested in, the subject of your research, and any contacts you have had with potential Yale mentors. You will then work with the track leader to identify an appropriate Yale mentor and develop the research project to prepare your application.

Applicants must have a terminal professional degree. This degree program embraces diversity and inclusion across multiple dimensions such as race, ethnicity, gender, sex, and age.
