Incoming Faculty Orientation
Overview
Each year the Office of Academic and Professional Development (OAPD) provides an orientation for incoming faculty members at the start of the academic year.
The 2024 Incoming Faculty Orientation will be held on Wednesday, August 21 during an all-day program geared toward ladder and research faculty who joined or will join YSM between Sept. 1, 2023, through Aug. 31, 2024. The program includes:
- overviews of YSM’s clinical, education, and research missions
- valuable resources available to help our faculty members
- introduction to faculty tracks, with break-out sessions for your career track
OAPD’s faculty affairs department will work closely with YSM department chairs, section chiefs, and faculty affairs coordinators to relieve incoming faculty members of any clinical obligations for the day to ensure participation.
