Research

The section takes part in cutting-edge research and clinical trails, including those pertaining to idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), COPD, and lung cancer. Members of the section are productive academically with publications in the radiologic literature and have co-authored book chapters as well. Our esteemed faculty also lecture at major national scientific meetings and serve on committees at these meeting as well. Research interests in the section include: interstitial lung disease, small and large airway disease, congenital abnormalities of the thorax, quality assessment, intensive care imaging, and pulmonary nodule management, to name a few.

Our radiologists are active members and contributors in the Society of Thoracic Radiology, International Thymic Malignancy Interest Group, American College of Radiology, American Roentgen Ray Society and Radiologic Society of North America.
