The Body Imaging division at Yale is composed of two cohesive sections (Ultrasound and Abdominal imaging) whose 19 faculty members provide subspecialty expertise in magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasound, computed tomography, and fluoroscopy. The division has built up a strong reputation for clinical excellence, academic productivity, innovation and enviable education/mentoring. Faculty members are committed to teaching at the graduate and post-graduate levels while delivering high quality clinical care. The breadth of experience among the faculty is reflected in the wide range of academic pursuits enjoyed by the division. The faculty work closely with our referring providers through numerous tumor boards and research collaborations, ensuring the best clinical are for our patients.
The Body Imaging division reading rooms are located in Yale New Haven Hospital (York street and Hospital Saint Raphael Campus) as well the Smilow Cancer Hospital and several outpatient imaging centers (Park Avenue Medical Center, North Haven Medical Center and Bridgeport Hospital Milford Campus). In addition to teaching Yale Medical Students and the Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology Residents, the division hosts two Cross-sectional Imaging fellowship positions (with rotations in Ultrasound, Body CT, Body MR as well as electives), two Body MRI fellowship positions, and one combined Body/Cardiac Imaging fellowship position.
