Biography

Chrysie Alexiou is a postgraduate completing her Master's of Research in Developmental Neuroscience and Psychopathology. She is especially interested in the intersection of neuroscientific and psychological theory to explain mental health mechanisms. Therefore, Chrysie likes applying an interdisciplinary approach in an attempt to explore the complex interactions of neuroscience, cognition, psychology and system factors which lead to the development and maintenance of neurodevelopmental conditions. Her thesis reflects this as she uses a graph theory network analysis to investigate how three core brain networks may differ in a transdiagnostic sample compared to undiagnosed children aged 7-17.
