About
Biography
I have always been interested in Child Psychiatry in the public sector and worked as the Medical Director of the Mid-Fairfield Child Guidance Clinic from 1986 to 1999 and then served as the Senior Psychiatric Consultant until 2007. I have maintained a private practice since 1986. During my professional career, I have spent, and continue to spend, a significant portion of my time doing consultations to schools. These consultations often involve specific cases, school staff case conferences, or staff professional development workshops. I see individuals with Mood Disorders, Psychotic Disorders, Anxiety, Autistic Spectrum and other Developmental Disorders, ADD/ADHD, Behavior Disorders, and Family Crises.
I have an adult son and daughter, both of whom live in Boston and are involved in health care. My husband of 40 years, Dr. Michael Lustick, also a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, and I are regular sponsors of NPR-WSHU and supporters of the Children’s Defense Fund, Environmental Defense Fund, and Amnesty International, amongst others. In my free time, I have maintained my involvement in art through quilting. I am in the process of starting Peace by Piece, a non-profit that creates commissioned quilts with proceeds going to Doctors Without Borders. Travel continues to inspire my work as a physician and artist.
