Notice of Award: Meaghan McGeary

Congratulations to Meaghan McGeary for Receiving the NCI F99/K00 Fellowship!
Meaghan McGeary is a fourth year graduate student in Dr. Marcus Bosenberg’s laboratory. The goal of her research is to define the causes and consequences of tumor heterogeneity in melanoma using the mouse models YUMM/YUMMER mouse models developed in the Bosenberg laboratory.

Meaghan is now the recipient of the NCI F99/K00 fellowship. The NCI Predoctoral to Postdoctoral Fellow Transition (F99/K00) is an “award supporting outstanding Ph.D. and other Research Doctoral candidates complete their dissertation research training (F99 phase) and transition in a timely manner to mentored, cancer-focused postdoctoral career development research positions (K00 phase).” In symmary, this funding will support the last two years of her work in the Bosenberg’s lab on anti-tumor immunity in melanoma, and four years post-doctoral research in a cancer related field.
