Sean McCabe

Sean McCabe is the Communications Officer for Social Media and Audience Development at Yale School of Medicine (YSM), where he supports media outreach efforts on behalf of the school's research portfolio. He is also responsible for leading strategy and authoring content for YSM's presence on social media.

Sean leverages a strong understanding of newsroom priorities and an enthusiasm for storytelling to build a compelling narrative around YSM thought leaders, programs, and research projects.

In a past life, Sean spent a decade in local TV news, telling important southern CT stories from behind the camera and in front of it, including an enviable pre-pandemic stint profiling local restaurants and breweries.

In his off-time Sean likes relaxing with his wife, son and dachshund; playing tabletop board and roleplaying games; and fumbling out a few chords on the piano, guitar, ukelele, or banjo.
