Yagmur Ozturkoglu is an undergraduate at Yale University studying Psychology on the Neuroscience Track and a part of the Education Studies Intensive Track. Her research interests stress, emotion regulation in children and adolescents, culturally competent mental health care, and community health education initiatives. She is currently working under Dr. Amanda Dettmer in the Human and Animal Integrated (HAIR) Lab at the Yale Child Study Center. Her thesis focuses on potential associations between children's emotion regulation strategies and their stress biomarkers.
Outside of her research at Yale, Yagmur also works for the Stanford Muslim Mental Health & Islamic Psychology Lab, the City of New Haven's Department of Community Resilience, is an APA Intern under The Center for Psychology in Schools and Education, and a Senior Psychology Mentor.
