Anjali S. Vijan

Anjali graduated from Rutgers University with a B.A. in Psychology, minors in Health & Society and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, and a Certificate in Women’s Leadership. She previously worked in The Hamilton Lab, where she studied risk and protective factors associated with adolescent suicidality, with a focus on sexual and gender minority youth. Her research interests include trauma- and stress-related psychopathology, identity and social connectedness, and LGBTQ+ youth mental health. Anjali plans to pursue a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology to continue conducting research aimed at understanding psychological distress and developing effective, culturally responsive interventions. Outside of research, she enjoys thrifting, exploring new coffee shops and restaurants, and listening to music.
