Tina Young Poussaint, M.D. ’83, has been inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Radiology (ACR). The induction took place at the ACR annual meeting and chapter leadership conference in Washington, D.C., in May. Poussaint completed residency training in diagnostic radiology and a fellowship in neuroradiology at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). She was appointed a professor of radiology at the Harvard Medical School in 2011. Poussaint spent the early part of her career as a staff neuroradiologist at MGH. She joined the department of radiology at Boston Children’s Hospital in 1993. Along with her primary clinical role as a neuroradiologist, Poussaint also serves as director of neuro-oncologic imaging and director of the Pediatric Neuroradiology Fellowship. In her capacity as national director of the neuroimaging center for the NIH-funded Pediatric Brain Tumor Consortium, Poussaint leads and directs cutting-edge research into imaging protocols for childhood brain tumors, and coordinates numerous imaging studies across an 11-member consortium of hospitals in the United States.
