Elda Martinez

Elda is a Patient Navigator for InSTRIDE and has 14 years of case management experience. She specializes in working with special populations including, but not limited to, people living with HIV/AIDS, substance use disorders, and mental health. As a native from the Bronx, she is fluent in both English and Spanish. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and has always been interested in human behavior. She is passionate about having a positive impact on people’s lives and believes that “helping connects us to others”. Elda enjoys problem solving and assessing alternatives to issues that may have once been deemed unsolvable. Elda loves traveling, spending time with her children, and the outdoors. Her favorite quote is “NORMAL is just a setting on a washing machine” she says, “normal is a matter of perception—what’s normal to you may not be normal to me”.
